Case study: Cisco Connect 2017
Eventicious built an app for Cisco Connect 2017, a large-scale event that took place on April 4-5 in Moscow International Trade Center
This was a significant event that gathered more than 3,000 attendees who came together to share their experience and discuss business digitalization and the new Digital Network Architecture (DNA). Over a hundred presentations were delivered across ten conference sections. 1,324 attendees installed the event app.
To make sure that they keep up with the event schedule, efficiently spend their time and never miss an important presentation, the attendees added the most interesting presentations to Favorites and created their own personalized schedules. This feature was used by half of the attendees.
Event speakers included leading Cisco experts who addressed such important topics as information security, data processing, solutions for telecommunication service providers, cloud technologies, and corporate network infrastructure, giving a valuable insight into various technical details. Quite understandably, the audience was captivated: the speakers were asked 1,187 questions through the mobile app.
The event successfully employed gamification: for being active in the app, participants could win prizes, such as an iPad Pro, power banks, branded earphones, thermo mugs, etc.
One of the reasons why people come to Cisco Connect events is the opportunity to interact and share experience with company engineers. This year, event networking became much easier thanks to the app’s networking feature: attendees could contact each other, send private messages and schedule private meetings through the app. In two days, 854 initial contacts were made through the app: attendees scheduled 175 meetings, initiated 285 chats and sent 1,305 instant messages.
